Extra Space Raises $40K for feeding america
Extra Space Storage REIT has raised $40,000 for Feeding America as part of its virtual holiday food drive.
Lauren Biedron, SVP Corporate Partnerships at Feeding America expressed her gratitude saying, "Feeding America appreciates the generous support from Extra Space Storage and its employees for their commitment to fighting hunger. This donation will help provide at least 400,000 meals to people facing hunger in the U.S."
Extra Space team members also weighed in on the experience:
◾ Chris Colizzi, District Team Lead, Geneva, New York: "Contributing to a worthy charity not only makes a positive impact on others but also cultivates a sense of purpose and compassion within yourself."
◾ Sarah Huntsinger, Store Manager, Albuquerque, New Mexico: "I feel very grateful to have enough for my needs, but I know that isn't the case for everyone. I hope this donation will help the people who are less fortunate than I am."
◾ Paty Portilla, Division Vice President, Brentwood, California: "No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted."
Extra Space team members also lended a helping hand in their respective communities, coming together to work with the following organization on various service projects, including:
- Utah Food Bank
- Volunteers of America, Utah
- Arizona Humane Society
- Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity
- Wreaths Across America
