White Label Storage Launches ECRI Hub To boost Revenue, Lower Risk
White Label Storage has launched ECRI Hub, the company's proprietary software tool built to optimize and de-risk one of the most time-consuming tasks in self storage management: existing customer rate increases (ECRI).
The technology is already in use across White Label's operations teams, giving site managers a faster, more precise way to identify eligible tenants, apply rate changes, and stay compliant with notice requirements, all from a single screen.
The ECRI Hub helps improve revenue generation quickly and consistently, which delivers more value to owners and operators without the extra overhead of legacy third-party tools.
Streamlining a Critical Operational Bottleneck
Rate increases for existing tenants are essential to keeping self storage facilities competitive and profitable, but the process is resource-intensive. Teams have to track which tenants are eligible, calculate appropriate increases, confirm notice periods, and keep records straight across separate systems, all while avoiding increases that would spark customer churn.
The ECRI Hub was built to remove that friction. It gives White Label's in-house site and operation managers a centralized interface for managing rate reviews at scale, automating repetitive manual cross-checks.
"Off-the-shelf solutions usually mean working around software bottlenecks,” said Madeleine Paulsen, Product Strategy and Design Manager at White Label Storage. “By building our own tool, we directly reflect our operational core and value of WLS management. Now, site managers have a streamlined interface to review and execute rate increases, ultimately maximizing owner returns.”
Why It Matters for Owners and Operators
For self storage owners, the ECRI Hub translates into three concrete benefits:
- Reduced compliance risk. Built-in guardrails and automated effective-date logic mean rate increases are far less likely to run afoul of notice requirements, protecting operators from tenant disputes and regulatory exposure.
- More consistent revenue capture. Real-time visibility into eligible tenants and expected revenue per round makes it easier for operations teams to act on pricing opportunities they might otherwise miss or delay.
- Lower operating cost per facility. By replacing manual, cross-system tracking with one streamlined tool, the tool cuts down the administrative time operators spend managing rate reviews. Time that can be redirected to other priorities.
In-House, Purpose-Built Self Storage Technology
The ECRI Hub encapsulates the White Label Storage approach to technology and facility management: build tools around how its operations teams actually work, rather than shoehorning off-the-shelf software into its processes.
By continuing to build new in-house technologies, White Label Storage is building a comprehensive platform that enhances its management practices while reducing costs for clients and improving the effectiveness of their services.
