Self-Storage Fire in kalamazoo, Michigan seriously injures one
A fire broke out last Saturday night at Lakewood Storage, located at 1233 Healy Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan, severely injuring one man, according to Kalamazoo Township Fire Marshal Todd Kowalski.
Firefighters were called at about 11:46 p.m. after a passerby reported seeing the flames from outside. When they arrived at midnight, firefighters immediately found the individual suffering from severe burns and took him to the hospital.
Kowalski further told reporters that it took firefighters about 90 minutes to contain the flames. As of Monday, firefighters have not been able to get with the victim's family to inform them, according to Kowalski.
In addition, the cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no further information has been released.
