Manhattan Mini Storage Partners With Rock the Vote
Manhattan Mini Storage, which recently ran a series of biting politically-themed billboards throughout Manhattan, has take things a step further by teaming up with Rock the Vote. The goal is to make sure that every eligible voter is registered and able to cast a safe and informed ballot.
Manhattan Mini Storage previously partnered with local voter registration groups and throughout the election season, the company says it will host and promote voter registration drives. "While we offer space for your belongings, we also help create space for your voice in our democracy," said Sarah Little, senior vice president of marketing at Manhattan Mini Storage, back when the billboards first went up.
Rock the Vote is a 501c3 nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to building the political power of young people. It was started in 1990 by music executives in response to the censorship of hip-hop and rap artists. The organization's first partnership was with MTV, which helped inspire young people across the country to exercise their right to vote. Today, Rock the Vote reports that it has registered 14 million voters over the years.
