Access Self Storage Celebrates 2+ Decades of Its Rate Guarantee
Access Self Storage, a family-owned self-storage operator and management company headquartered in New Jersey and founded in 1976, has marked more than two decades of offering a First-Year Rate Guarantee, a policy designed to provide tenants with predictable pricing and peace of mind from the moment they move in.
While many pricing policies in the industry have evolved over time, the company’s approach to transparent pricing has remained consistent. The First-Year Rate Guarantee ensures that a customer’s rental rate will not increase during the first 12 months of their stay.
For Access, the policy was never introduced as a response to industry pressure or market trends. Instead, it reflects the company’s longstanding philosophy of building trust through straightforward business practices and long-term customer relationships.
“Our approach has always been rooted in transparency and respect for the people who store with us,” said Michele Cavaliere, President and COO of Access Self Storage. “The First-Year Rate Guarantee isn’t a promotion or a reaction to anything happening in the industry. It’s simply how we’ve chosen to operate for many years. We believe customers deserve predictability when they rent storage, and that philosophy has helped us build lasting relationships with our tenants.”
The guarantee has also become an important part of Access’s broader operational philosophy, one that emphasizes clear communication, consistent service, and relationship-based management rather than short-term pricing tactics.
As the self storage industry continues to evolve, Access Self Storage remains focused on the principles that have guided the company for more than five decades: responsible growth, transparent practices, and long-term stewardship of the communities and customers it serves.
