OpenTech Adds Wireless Sensor To INSOMNIAC CIA Platform – SmartMotion
OpenTech Alliance announced at the SSA Fall Conference in Las Vegas that it has added INSOMNIAC®SmartMotion™, a wireless, battery-powered motion sensor to its CIA (Centralized Intelligent Access) access control platform. The new device gives operators a smarter, faster way to enhance unit security while creating incremental revenue.
Designed for seamless integration, SmartMotion installs in seconds inside individual units and, once connected, delivers real-time motion alerts through the IoE Control Center, along with optional tenant notifications. The sensor provides operators with a cost-effective way to strengthen their facility security, offer optional tiered protection plans and improve the tenant experience.
“The challenge with many motion sensors on the market is that they only notify the tenant, which can actually create more risk. By integrating SmartMotion with our SmartEye surveillance service, we enable remote security teams to visually verify unauthorized activity and alert police when needed,” said Jon Loftin, Chief Product Officer at OpenTech Alliance.
SmartMotion joins the OpenTech IoE (Internet of Everything) technology management platform of sensors and devices, which help operators proactively oversee site operations and generate useful data to drive operational intelligence.
“Our SmartMotion sensor gives operators a simple way to boost unit security and generate incremental revenue. Combined with SmartGate and SmartDoor, these smart sensors deliver even greater value to the CIA solution by enhancing security, providing operational intelligence and creating new income opportunities,” said Robert A. Chiti, CEO at OpenTech Alliance.
Key Features:
- Quick installation
- Wireless and battery-powered flexibility
- Real-time motion alerts via the Control Center for tenants and operators
- Compatible with leading Property Management Systems
- Enables tiered security and premium tenant add-ons
- Scales easily for new builds or retrofits
SmartMotion is ideal for facilities looking to modernize without costly retrofits.
