NeSSA Surpasses Membership Goal, Eyes Merger with NHSSA
Jessica Lamoureux, President of the New England Self Storage Association (NeSSA) has announced a major milestone—surpassing its 2025 membership goal of 400 members. The organization credits the achievement to the dedication of its Board of Directors and emphasized the importance of a strong membership base for industry standards and legislative advocacy.
Fresh off a successful 2025 Northeast Storage EXPO, which featured the association’s largest exhibit hall to date, NeSSA highlighted educational sessions on market shifts, operational improvements, and AI integration. Planning is also underway for the popular Fall Retreat, set for September 24 at the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA, promising deeper education and expanded networking opportunities.
During the EXPO, the late Charlie Fritts was honored with a lifetime achievement award, presented to his wife, Kathy. Donations are being collected in his name for cancer research through Kure It, with a goal of raising $75,000.
Finally, NeSSA confirmed it is exploring a potential merger with the New Hampshire Self Storage Association (NHSSA), with legal consultations and member surveys currently in progress. If the merger happens, the NeSSA would serve four states: Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
