Guardian Self Storage Launches Campaign to Support Kaua‘i Youth

Guardian Self Storage on Kaua‘i has launched a community fundraising initiative to benefit local youth programs through Boys & Girls Clubs of Hawai‘i – Kaua‘i.

As part of the campaign, the self-storage operator will match community donations dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000. All contributions, along with Guardian Self Storage’s matching funds, will be directed to the Jennie T. Yukimura Kaua‘i Endowment Fund, helping provide long-term financial support for youth programming on the island.

“By contributing to the endowment, we’re helping create lasting impact for future generations of Kaua‘i’s youth,” said Thomas Lambert, managing member of Guardian Self Storage, in announcing the initiative.

Community members can make donations directly at Guardian Self Storage, with every contribution eligible for matching while funds remain available. Company officials noted that even modest donations can have a meaningful impact through the matching program.

The Jennie T. Yukimura Kaua‘i Endowment Fund was established in 2022 in memory of Jennie Yukimura, whose lifelong commitment to supporting Kaua‘i’s youth inspired the creation of the fund. The endowment also honors the advocacy efforts of JoAnn Yukimura, who has worked to expand access to the programs and services provided by Boys & Girls Clubs of Hawai‘i.

The fund is restricted to supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Hawai‘i operations on Kaua‘i and is managed by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation on behalf of the organization.

The fundraising campaign will continue through July 31 or until the $10,000 matching threshold has been reached.
