Darius Rucker To Perform at Self Storage Associations' 50th Celebration

The Self Storage Association has announced that iaward-winning musician Darius Rucker, the former frontman of the band Hootie & the Blowfish, will be performing at its Fall Conference & Trade Show, which will take place in September 2-5 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. This is a private performance that is exclusive to SSA attendees.

As part of its 50th Anniversary, SSA will be holding a "50 on the 50 Celebration" on September 3 at Allegiant Stadium, a multi-purpose facility that is home to pro and college football teams, as well as concerts and other special events. Rucker and his band will headline the festivities with a one-hour performance from 8-9 pm that includes multiple hits from Rucker's solo career and his time with Hootie & the Blowfish.

"Darius is a legendary singer and songwriter who appeals to fans of all musical genres, and the SSA is thrilled that he chose to help us commemorate our Golden Anniversary."

The Charleston, South Carolina, native first achieved multi-platinum status in the music industry as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish, which sold more than 25 million albums worldwide including their Double Diamond-certified (22x Platinum) debut "Cracked Rear View," which remains among the top 10 best-selling studio albums of all time with hits like "Only Wanna Be with You," "Hold My Hand" and "Let Her Cry."

Since releasing his first country album in 2008, Rucker has earned a whole new legion of fans with four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country chart plus 10 No. 1 singles on country radio and 11 Gold, Platinum or multi-Platinum certified hits. Rucker was inducted as a Grand Ole Opry member in 2012, and he won his third career GRAMMY Award in 2014 for Best Solo Country Performance with his Diamond-certified (11x Platinum) version of “Wagon Wheel” — one of the top five best-selling country songs of all time.
