CubeSmart Fire Under Investigation in Connecticut [PHOTOS]
A fire at a Connecticut CubeSmart on Sunday afternoon had firefighters forcing their way into various storage units to control the blaze.
The Warehouse Point Fire Department, from a village within the town of East Windsor, Connecticut, were called around 2:40 p.m. after a report was made about smoke coming from a unit at at the facility.
According to reports, crews has to force entry into six to eight storage units that contained heavy fire. Once inside, they were able to contain it within the hour.
East Windsor police and East Windsor Ambulance were on the scene to help with firefighters’ rehabilitation and support.
The cause of the fire remained investigation by the Warehouse Point Fire Marshals Office. The renters of the units involved were all contacted by facility management, firefighters said, and no injuries were reported.
