Cheyenne Man Arrested For Self-Storage Thefts
37-year-old Brandon Starkey of Cheyenne, Wyoming has been arrested and tied to at least a dozen burglaries in Albany and Laramie counties, according to the Cheyenne Police Department. The items he's accused of stealing were uncovered following searches of Starkey's home and a storage unit he was renting at ClearHome Self Storage located at 622 West Allison Road.
The following stolen items were recovered from the unit:
- Thousands of dollars worth of tools
- One bicycle
- One Hi-Point 9mm handgun
- United States Air Force items
- One machine used for paving
Footage from security cameras at the facility aided police in their investigation. The footage is said to implicate Starkey in a pair of garage thefts and an auto burglary in which a bicycle was stolen.
So far, Starkey has been charged with nine counts of burglary, three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
