Chancellor Named CEO of Storable, Gordon Transitions to Advisory Role
Storable has named Scott Chancellor as its new CEO, succeeding co-founder Chuck Gordon, who led the software company for 18 years.
Storable provides software for self-storage, marine and RV and camping operators. Gordon will remain involved with the company as a member of its board of directors and as an advisor.
Chancellor brings more than 20 years of experience in software, with a background in product development, technology transformation and business operations. Most recently, he served as CEO of Aircall, where he oversaw the company's expansion into artificial intelligence, nearly doubled revenue and led the business to profitability.
Before Aircall, Chancellor served as CEO of Humu, leading the company through its sale to Perceptyx. He also was chief product and technology officer at Apptio, where he helped reshape the company’s product strategy ahead of its acquisition by IBM.
Earlier in his career, Chancellor founded and led the AWS Insights business at Amazon Web Services. He holds degrees from the University of Washington and Harvard Business School.
"Chuck built something rare, a company that became essential to the industries it serves. Operators in these industries work incredibly hard, and technology should make their jobs easier," said Chancellor. "My focus on day one is accelerating the pace of innovation, delivering exceptional product experiences, and bringing AI into everyday workflows in ways that save operators time and help them run better businesses. Whether you manage three facilities or three hundred, you should have technology that works for you, not the other way around."
Gordon, who co-founded Storable and served as CEO for 18 years, said the leadership transition marks the beginning of the company’s next phase.
"I've spent the last 18 years building this company alongside our customers, and I couldn't be more excited about our next chapter," said Gordon. "Scott brings a rare combination of product, technology, and operating experience, and I believe he's the right leader for where Storable is headed. I'm looking forward to introducing him across the industry and supporting him from my position on the Board of Directors."
Under Chancellor, Storable plans to continue investing in software and technology for specialty real estate operators, with an emphasis on AI-powered workflows, customer experiences and operational efficiency.
The company’s technology strategy includes applications for facility management, tenant communications, occupancy and revenue management. Storable said its broader objective is to reduce the time operators spend managing software while helping them focus on growing their businesses.
