Armed Burglars Break Into 15 Units At Connecticut CubeSmart
It has not been a good week to be a Connecticut CubeSmart. First, a fire broke out at a East Windsor facility. And today, around 1:30 am, masked and armed burglars broke into a different facility, located at 26 Maselli Road in Newington, forcing their way into 15 storage units.
Police responding to the scene saw three people leaving the area in a white pickup truck. According to police, all three were wearing a mask and one had a handgun.
Officers are working with the facility to identify the suspects and to contact the tenants who rented the units. Police are asking the public not to confront the suspects as they are armed. Instead, call Officer Torres at 860-666-8445 with any information.
