U-Haul Company of Nevada today announced that it has expanded the U-Haul network of self-storage locations with its purchase of an existing Nevada storage facility located at 4950 Duneville Street in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The new U-Haul Moving and Storage at Tropicana features more than 300 storage units, and offers more than 34,000 square feet of self-storage. U-Haul Moving and Storage of Tropicana features indoor, outdoor and drive-up storage as well as U-Box pods for moving and storage. With a U-Box pod, you can conveniently pick up our custom-designed trailer and take your U-Box pod with you. After you fill up the U-Box pod, we can store it for you in our secure warehouse or deliver it to a location of your choice.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to expand our presence in Las Vegas and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationships with local communities throughout our state of Nevada,” stated Steven Deutsch, president, U-Haul Company of Nevada.

“With the opportunity to expand U-Haul self-storage operations, we are better equipped to meet our customers’ current and future needs,” Deutsch continued. “Families needing the finest in moving services now will have increased convenience and a shorter distance to travel when moving and storing their goods, which not only will make their move easier but also will have the positive effect of reducing the amount of carbon emissions released into the atmosphere,” he noted.

U-Haul Moving and Storage at Tropicana showcases 24-hour security with electronically controlled access, state-of-the-art digital video surveillance, your lock/your key, FREE use of storage carts, no deposit or administration fees, a convenient credit-card payment plan and available low-cost Safestor Protection to help safeguard customers’ personal possessions.

U-Haul Moving and Storage at Tropicana also will be selling a wide variety of environmentally friendly packing supplies: boxes made out of recyclable materials, 100 percent biodegradable packing peanuts and moving pads made from recycled denim. Also on site will be a Take a Box/Leave a Box display, which allows customers or anyone in the community to leave moving boxes or unwanted electronics boxes for another customer to reuse for free, instead of throwing them away or recycling them.

Customers who rent a U-Haul moving van, trailer or U-Box pod for a one-way move can receive one month of free storage before or after their move.

Customers can rent storage from U-Haul owned storage facilities across the United States and Canada by calling their neighborhood U-Haul center, visiting uhaul.com or contacting the U-Haul national reservation system, at 1-800-GO-UHAUL.

About U-Haul

U-Haul was founded by a Navy veteran who grew up during the Great Depression. Tires and gas were still rationed or in short supply during the late 1940s when U-Haul began serving U.S. customers. Today, that background is central to the U-Haul Sustainability Program: “Serving the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” Our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle includes fuel-efficient moving vans, neighborhood proximity, moving box reuse, moving pads made from discarded material and packing peanuts that are 100% biodegradable.
