In a short ceremony during last week’s Lancaster Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Access Self Storage awarded the proceeds of their second annual Boot Scootin’ Benefit to the Lancaster Education Foundation and the Lancaster Outreach Center. The benefit, which last year generated $1500, is a part of Access’ ongoing commitment to the communities it serves and brought in more than twice as much money as the previous year. Access Self Storage owner Doug Hunt made his excitement clear as he handed over an oversized check for $1500 to each of the receiving organizations. Representatives of both the Lancaster Education Foundation and the Lancaster Outreach Center were invited to the podium to tell chamber members more about their missions. The Lancaster Education Foundation exists to support the Lancaster Independent School District while the Lancaster Outreach Center focuses on those in need in the community. Both made promises to put the donations to good use. With the continued success of the Boot Scootin’ Benefit, Access Self Storage has already begun planning next year’s event.
