StoreEase Adds AI Service Tool for Traditionally Staffed Self-Storage Facilities

StoreEase Inc. has launched Virtual Console Flex (VCF), an AI-powered customer-service tool designed to extend coverage at traditionally staffed self-storage facilities.

 

The Birmingham, Alabama-based self-storage operator and technology provider added VCF to its EaseOS AI-native operating platform. The tool can also be white-labeled and deployed within an operator’s existing platform, according to the company.

 

VCF is a plug-and-play console designed to layer EaseOS technology onto a facility’s existing operations. Powered by AI-enabled Ease Core hardware, the system is intended to extend office hours, address staffing gaps and capture rental opportunities without replacing on-site employees.

 

Among VCF’s features is enhanced people detection, which recognizes when a tenant approaches a counter and automatically initiates an interaction. The system also receives new AI capabilities through software updates delivered directly to the unit, allowing its functionality to expand over time.

 

The console uses passive cooling for silent operation and eliminates moving parts that could fail. It also includes cellular backup to maintain connectivity if a facility’s primary internet connection goes down.

StoreEase acquires, develops and oversees self-storage properties and operates a virtual-management platform for the industry. The company manages 65 properties across 15 states.

 

Its technology platform includes automation and remote-management tools such as 2 Minute Move-In, DemoSuites, Smart Environment, Virtual Assistant, Virtual Counter, Virtual Manager and Virtual Terminals.

 

The launch of VCF expands StoreEase’s focus on applying AI and automation to traditionally staffed facilities, providing operators with an additional way to supplement employee coverage while maintaining existing operating models.
