Lock+Store Turns Self-Storage Into A Creative Space

Singapore art takes on an unexpected new form as Lock+Store presents Singapore, So Cantik La!, an art exhibition that reimagines a self-storage facility as a creative and cultural space. Featuring works by local digital illustrator Yeni Lim of Yenidraws, the exhibition runs from 22 to 31 January 2026 at Lock+Store Tanjong Pagar Distripark, in conjunction with Singapore Art Week.

Challenging traditional notions of where art belongs, Singapore, So Cantik La! transforms an everyday, functional environment into a platform for storytelling, nostalgia, and reflection. Yeni Lim’s illustrations draw from familiar Singapore scenes, family life, and everyday “barang-barang” from her childhood, capturing the quiet beauty of moments that many Singaporeans recognise as their own.

The exhibition reflects Lock+Store’s belief that storage is about more than space - it is about safeguarding memories, stories, and what matters most to people.
