Janus International Opens New Plant in poland

Janus International Group has opened a manufacturing plant in Wroclaw, Poland. The facility will serve as the European hub for production and distribution of self-storage door and partition systems, portable units, and access-control solutions, and will complement the company’s facility in County Durham, England.

“The opening of our new facility in Wrocław represents our strategic and thoughtful approach to growth in the European self-storage market,” said CEO Ramey Jackson. “We feel it positions Janus International Europe to best serve our customers who are at the heart of our mission as a global organization.”

“I am incredibly excited to launch our new facility in Poland. This is a region that offers immense potential for self-storage in addition to outstanding manufacturing talent,” said Craig Conway, international production director for Janus International Europe Ltd. “We have recruited a fantastic local team in Wrocław, led by our factory manager Arkadiusz Stefaniuk, who has a solid background in self-storage production.”

The new plant is housed in a building managed by Prologis Inc., a global real estate investment trust that specializes in logistics facilities. The structure is expected to tie into Janus’ sustainability efforts and carry an environmental certification via the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (known primarily as BREEAM).

“I am very pleased that Janus’ sustainable manufacturing practices and products have gained industry recognition in both the U.K. and Europe,” Conway said. “Environmental sustainability is an area we will continue to focus on as we implement the latest machinery and technology to deliver best-in-class products to our European customers.”
