Cornerstone Insurance Partners with Charity Storage

Charity Storage, the official charity of the self storage industry and an official charity partner of the Self Storage Association (SSA), has announced that Cornerstone Insurance Producers (CIP) has become an annual sponsor with a generous donation of $5,000. CIP is a specialty Managing General Agent (MGA) that offers tailored insurance solutions to various markets and industries, including the self storage industry. Cornerstone’s contribution reflects a shared commitment to philanthropy and supports its company-wide goal to help people in the communities where the company operates.

Cornerstone, the exclusive MGA for the SBOA Tenant Insurance program, sponsored Charity Storage to help expand the self storage industry’s philanthropic efforts and make a greater impact beyond the insurance programs they offer.

Charity Storage empowers self storage operators by seamlessly integrating into their facility operations, offering an opportunity to expand social impact through charity auctions. Founded and managed by self storage professionals, the Charity Storage program was designed with simplicity in mind — Operators designate a unit as a donation drop-off point for donated items. Tenants, local businesses and the public contribute items to the designated unit. Once the unit is full, it goes to auction and the proceeds raised benefit multiple charities — 60% goes to the operator’s charity of choice, 20% supports Kure It Cancer Research and 10% is donated to the Self Storage Association Scholarship Foundation.
