“Basic Membership” is the simplest option for storage operators and resembles the memberships first offered on USSS when it was launched nearly 10 years ago. For a flat monthly rate, member facilities will be listed on USSS’s web directory, and all traffic, including calls and quote requests, will be directed to the facility. This program includes unlimited traffic opportunities at a set monthly rate that is easy for owners and operators to budget for each month.

With “Network Membership,” storage facilities will be listed on, as well as all partner and affiliate websites. In 2008, USSS began building a network of partner and affiliate sites that in six years has grown to more than 2,000 sites. The USSS Network gives storage operators immediate access to the largest network of sites designed to help operators find new tenants. “Network Membership” operates on a pure pay-for-performance model where members only pay for each new and unique reservation made for their facility.

“Network Plus Membership” is the best option for storage operators looking to get the most visibility for their facilities. Member facilities will receive premium placement on’s directory and within the USSS network for a small monthly fee plus the same pay-for-performance model utilized in the “Network Membership” offering.

Changes to the product lineup provide benefits to consumers using the shop-and-compare website to reserve storage units as well. In the past, required a small deposit secured with a credit card to book a storage unit online or by phone. This requirement has been waived, and consumers will be able to reserve a storage unit at any facility in just minutes without having to leave a deposit or offer any sensitive credit card information.

Current members who already fall within the website’s standard rate-card do not need to do anything to receive the benefits of the new programs offered by These members will see an immediate savings in their monthly fees to go along with the increase in new reservations. The USSS sales team will be working directly with all members through the month of March to transition to the new programs.

Other changes being made to under B² Interactive’s direction include:

  •     Termination of the full-service, call-center services effective 1/31/14
  •     Termination of call recording and call auditing services, which includes call tracking services included or bundled in prior offerings effective 2/28/14
  •     Termination of the “Featured Listing” program effective 3/31/14

All other programs and services will remain unchanged.
