SBS Construction has begun work on its latest project: Taft Self Storage. The facility will span roughly 78,000 square feet at 11707 Culebra Road on the city’s far West Side. There will be a total of 524 storage units — a mix of climate and non-climate-controlled units. The building is scheduled to be completed during the fourth quarter of this year. Taft Storage LP will own the facility. Taft Self Storage marks the latest storage facility for Boerne-based SBS Construction — a regionally based construction management and design-build firm. Also in the works by SBS Construction is the Stone Oak Storage facility in far North San Antonio. Past projects by SBS include The Storage Center in Baton Rouge; a Public Storage facility in Houston; and the Central Self Storage in Kingwood, Texas. Beyond the self-storage arena, SBS’ project list includes Southside on Lamar, an urban, residential, retail and entertainment complex in Dallas; and the Montecito Condo Conversion, a large-scale plan calling for the conversion of apartment complexes in Jacksonville, Juno Beach and St. Augustine, Fla., into condominium communities.]]>
