Two Men Arrested For Midgard Self Storage Thefts
Two men have been arrested by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) in South Carolina, in connection with an estimated 70 to 90 unit burglaries at two Midgard Self Storage facilities, located on Legrand Road and Atlas Road between mid-May and mid-June.
- Marshall Poston was arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary in the second degree, grand larceny, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Deputies said several guns were recovered from Poston’s home, two of which were stolen.
- McGregor Wallace was arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary in the second degree, receiving stolen goods, grand larceny, and financial transaction card theft.
.
Investigators stated they have recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen goods, and have stored it in a space accessible to victims so it can be recovered. Anyone who has made a stolen property report is asked to call their assigned investigator and set up a time to look through the recovered property. Those who have a storage space at either of the facilities are asked to ensure their place was not burglarized and if so to contact RCSD to make a report. Visit their website here for information.
