In conjunction with this expansion, the company has appointed industry veteran Roc Hughes as President of SBS Construction East, effective June 2, 2026.
Hughes joins SBS Construction from Janus International, where he served as Vice President of Self-Storage Sales. A highly respected leader within the industry, Hughes brings extensive experience in commercial strategy, operational leadership, and long-standing client relationship management. Based in the Atlanta, Georgia area, he will lead SBS Construction’s geographic expansion and business diversification beyond its traditional Texas market.

His deep-rooted relationships with developers, owners, and operators nationwide are expected to play a key role as SBS Construction East establishes its presence in highly competitive new markets.
