StorSuite Expands Storage Shield Program to Non-Enclosed Parking

StorSuite has expanded its Storage Shield tenant-protection program to cover non-enclosed parking spaces, giving self-storage operators another option for protecting customers’ vehicles while creating an additional recurring revenue opportunity.

The program is now available for renters storing boats, RVs, trailers, campers, cars and other vehicles in outdoor parking spaces, according to the company.

StorSuite is a vertically integrated self-storage platform that provides marketing, third-party management, software, website development, tenant-protection programs and other services to operators.

The expansion follows the integration of Storage Shield with StorSuite’s StorPass mobile technology in September. Through the app, customers can access information about the protection program, provide proof-of-insurance documentation when required, increase their level of protection and initiate a claim.

StorSuite also plans to support operators with staff training, marketing materials and sales assistance as they introduce the expanded program. The company said the resources are designed to help operators incorporate Storage Shield into existing workflows while identifying opportunities to generate additional recurring revenue.

The expansion broadens the application of tenant-protection products beyond traditional enclosed storage units and into the growing vehicle-storage segment, where outdoor parking spaces are commonly used for recreational vehicles, boats and automobiles.

StorSuite was formed through a partnership involving Fervent Capital, FineView Marketing, Storage Plus, Phyrem, Pinnacle Storage Managers, Pinnacle Storage Properties and Storage Shield. The company offers a range of services and technology aimed at supporting self-storage operators, including marketing, software platforms, tenant-protection plans and third-party management.
