STORE Management, a Phoenix-based self-storage management platform, has assumed management of three additional facilities owned by Wentworth Storage Company (WSC), expanding the partnership from two properties in California to five across California and Arizona.
The expansion represents STORE Management’s largest single addition within one ownership relationship to date. Coordinating the three Arizona transitions simultaneously also marks a step toward a portfolio-level operating model for the partnership, according to the company.
The new properties include one facility in Glendale and two in Tempe, each with a distinct operating profile and customer base.
The Glendale property is a convenience-focused infill facility near Grand Canyon University, offering walk-up and drive-up units to serve nearby residents and small businesses.
One of the Tempe facilities features drive-up storage and vehicle and recreational vehicle (RV) parking. Its service area extends from West Tempe and downtown Tempe through the Arizona State University area toward East Phoenix and South Scottsdale.
The second Tempe property is a modern, multilevel, climate-controlled Class A facility with high occupancy. STORE Management’s focus there will center on improving revenue performance and operating efficiency rather than driving initial lease-up.
Together, the three facilities give Wentworth a consistent management structure across multiple markets while allowing property-level decisions to reflect local conditions. STORE Management’s operating approach includes revenue management, marketing, on-site execution, tenant protection and owner reporting tailored to each property and its trade area.
The expanded relationship builds on the companies’ initial assignments in California and adds to STORE Management’s growth as a third-party operator in Arizona, its home market. The company was built by self-storage owner-operators and applies its operating platform across facilities with varying formats and customer needs.
Colliers brokered the sale of two self-storage facilities in Wisconsin managed by Extra Space Storage. Dan Lynch of Colliers represented Bruno Self Storage LLC in the sale to Inland Real Estate. The properties, which have a combined total of 171,825 square feet and 1,486 units, include a 93,650-square-foot facility in Pleasant Prairie and an 82,175-square-foot property in West Bend.
