Police are searching for a man who shot a storage facility manager during a robbery Monday night around 7 p.m. at Good Deal Self Storage located at 5400 Eadom Street in Philadelphia, PA.
Police say the 57-year-old manager was inside the office with a customer when the suspect entered through the front door and forced both individuals to kneel behind the counter.
Surveillance video reportedly shows the suspect reaching into the cash register before firing four shots.
The manager was struck in the shoulder and chest and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The customer was not injured.
Investigators say the suspect fled the scene on an electric bike or electric scooter with an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, and a light-colored mask covering his entire face.
The incident was captured on surveillance video but it has not yet been released to the public. In the meantime, anyone with information is urged to contact police at 215-686-TIPS.
