Special edition features Janus International CEO Ramey Jackson, the 2026 Top Self-Storage Operators, an inside look at THE Show, and more.
Modern Storage Media (MSM) has released the November issue of Messenger, the self-storage industry's longest-running publication, in print and digital formats. To celebrate the debut of THE Show, MSM's inaugural self-storage conference and tradeshow taking place Nov. 4–6 in Atlanta, Ga., the company is making the digital issue, normally reserved for subscribers, available to everyone free of charge.
Published monthly since 1979, Messenger is MSM's flagship publication. The company also publishes Self-Storage Canada, the Self-Storage Almanac, the RV & Boat Development Handbook, the Self-Storage Buyer's Guide, and specialty publications such as Law & Storage and The Self-Storage Guide to AI & Remote Management.
The November cover story, "More Than Doors," profiles Ramey Jackson, CEO of Janus International, who has spent 25 years helping drive the company's growth and innovation. The feature explores Janus' expanding portfolio of products and services, including Nokē Smart Entry and R3 (Restore, Rebuild, Replace), an initiative that has evolved beyond door replacements to encompass hallway improvements, unit remixing, office remodels, building renovations, and MASS relocatable storage.
The issue also features "Welcome To The Show," a comprehensive look at the educational sessions, networking opportunities, and special events planned for MSM's first-ever self-storage conference and tradeshow. Additionally, the November edition unveils the 2026 "Storage Champions," ranking the industry's top 100 operators based on MSM's nationwide survey.
Additional content is organized around MSM's Four Pillars:

"This is a really special issue of Messenger," says Poppy Behrens, publisher.
