The Store Room Supporting Rainbow Trust With ‘Three Peaks’ Challenge

The Store Room self storage company has selected  Rainbow Trust as their ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2014 and are kicking off their fundraising efforts by taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge. This will be one of a number of events taking place throughout the year that will form part of their fundraising programme for the Charity.

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing to the top of Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales and the challenge is to complete all three climbs within a 24 hour period.

Taking part are The Store Room’s Managing Director Jeremy Bradburn, Regional Manager Carl Horsfield, Finance Manager Suzanne Hirst as well as staff from the company’s Manchester, Bradford and Leicester branches.

The challenge takes place on 27 and 28 June 2014 and the company is promoting an active training schedule for those involved. The company are fundraising online through a Virgin Money Giving page as well as in-store at their six locations.

Dan Beer from The Store Room said, “Deciding to partner with Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity was a very easy decision for us to make. The work they do is incredible and the support they give to families of children with sometimes very serious difficulties is something that we are keen to support. We are now in training for the challenge and our only objective is to raise as much money as possible for the Charity!”

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity is a national charity that supports families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Their nine teams of Family Support Workers help families cope by providing emotional and practical support whenever and wherever it’s needed. This is the only service available for families that offers the 24- hour help that is vital to maintain normality in a time of crisis.

Sylvia Pearl from Rainbow Trust says“Rainbow Trust is delighted to have been selected by The Store Room as its Charity of the Year for 2014. This type of support is very important as Rainbow Trust relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and companies like The Store Room fundraising for us. All the money raised by The Store Room will go towards helping to ensure our Family Support Workers based in the North West can continue to provide vital support to families in the region.”
