SELECT CAPITAL CORPORATION HIRES CHRISTINE NGUYEN

San Juan Capistrano-based Select Capital Corporation (SCC), the dealer manager for private offerings and public non-traded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) sponsored by Strategic Storage Holdings, LLC, (SSH) is pleased to announce the addition of Christine Nguyen as director of national accounts.

In her new role, Nguyen is responsible for building the selling group for SSH’s offerings and developing strategic partnerships with all broker-dealer relationships. SCC is currently the dealer manager for Ladera Ranch-based Strategic Storage Trust II, Inc. (SST2) a public non-traded REIT targeting the self-storage market. Nguyen will be based in the Ladera Ranch office.

Nguyen has worked in compliance and sales of alternative investments for more than 10 years. She has deep knowledge of the alternative investment space and understands the types of alternative investment products that financial advisers are looking for as well as the due diligence needs of broker-dealers.

Before she joined SSH, Nguyen was the lead platform manager of alternative investments at LPL Financial. Previously, she was an alternative investment sales (AVP) executive at First Allied Securities and was a senior risk management officer at T.D. Waterhouse.

“Christine is a great addition to the team as she brings a vast amount of understanding of the broker-dealer industry,” said Brian D. Buehler, SSH’s national sales director. “Given her background working with sponsors in her past due diligence roles with LPL and First Allied, she was a clear choice. Broker-dealers are responding positively.”

Nguyen has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Hawaii Pacific University. She also holds the following securities licenses: Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 55, 63 and 66.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from the top sponsors in the space,” Nguyen said. “My goal at the end of this year is for broker-dealers to not only think we’ve delivered a great product that meets the needs of their advisers, but to think of us as a true strategic partner that has helped them grow their business.”
