Devon Self Storage Announces the Acquisition of Two Self Storage Facilities

Devon Self Storage is pleased to announce the acquisition of two self storage facilities based in Yukon (Oklahoma City), Oklahoma and Ft. Worth, Texas in partnership with a major state retirement system.

The self storage facility in Yukon was acquired on March 5, 2015. It consists of 97,500 square feet of non-climate controlled space in 571 units, 2,400 square feet of office space, 72 covered RV parking spaces and 92 surface vehicle parking spaces. Devon intends to convert 20,060 square feet of the existing non-climate controlled space into 18,000 square feet of rentable climate controlled space prior to the end of the year. At the time of the acquisition the site was approximately 63% leased.

The Ft. Worth site was acquired on May 28, 2015. It consists of 72,175 square feet of both climate and non-climate controlled space divided into 518 units. Devon intends to construct an additional 13,000 square feet of non-climate controlled space on a vacant one acre parcel at the front of the project. At the time of the acquisition the site was 91.8 leased.
