Self Storage Expo Asia 2025 Set to Take Tokyo by Storm

The much-anticipated Self Storage Expo Asia 2025 is coming to Japan (May 20-22). The Self Storage Expo Asia is Asia’s only premier event for the self storage industry, bringing together the best operators, suppliers and investors at a CEO summit with delegates not only from Asia but also from around the world.

“The Board of the Self Storage Association Asia (SSAA) has pulled out all the stops to recruit experienced operators and investors from Latin America, Africa, Europe, Canada, and the United States,” says Chair Helen Ng (CEO, General Storage). “Of course, that’s in addition to all the biggest self storage operators in Asia.”

Keynote speaker Cris Burnam, CEO of StorageMart, will share insights from a lifetime in the business. He closed the largest deal in self storage history—the $3 billion USD acquisition of Manhattan Mini Storage. His company, the third-largest operator in the USA, the largest private operator, also has significant investments from Asia, particularly Singapore.

Renowned economist, author and Japan expert William Pesek will be presenting at the Expo, putting Japan’s culture and economy into perspective with how the self storage industry is growing in this context. Leading companies such as StorHub and Extra Space have made significant investments, while American funds have found remarkable success with firms like Quraz.
