The New MSM Buyer’s Guide: Loaded With New Features And Benefits

The new Mini-Co Buyer’s Guide is online and ready for use. The site includes new features as well as nearly 200 vendors.

The list of vendors includes vendors skilled in the storage industry: accountants, architects, auction providers, collections, consultants, doors, equipment, facility management, marketing, roofing, security, signs, software, solar, and many more categories.

Amy Sharman, circulation and online sales for MiniCo Publishing, which is based in Phoenix, says that the Buyer’s Guide offers 24/7 access to help with anything a self-storage owner/operator may need for their facility. “At one point, you may need new doors, and another point, you may need to upgrade your security system,” says Sharman. “We’ve expanded it this year so that it is a one-stop destination to do all of your research and find supplies, so you have the knowledge you need before the purchasing process.”

How The Site Works
Sharman gives an example of an owner/operator who may need doors.

1. Find the category for doors
2. Location – you can search by your specific location
3. Add any keywords you would like to use in your search

“The pages are very detailed,” says Sharman. “After selecting a vendor, you can find their location, email, product literature, and website link. Time is money, and you can save time going to the Buyer’s Guide, rather than doing a general Google search.”

Profile Pages
Some vendors have profile pages, which is a new option this year. Profile pages include links to their social media pages, such as Facebook and Twitter feeds, as well as video and photos of their products and services.

“If you see someone you like, if they have a profile page, you can also go to that and get more information,” says Claudia Johnson, executive advertising sales for MiniCo Publishing. “For example, if you’re looking for an architect and they have a profile page, you don’t even have to go to their website, you can see photos and maybe videos they’ve uploaded right on the page.”

Johnson says the best thing about the new Buyer’s Guide is that it is “very pleasing to the eye and simplistic,” making it user friendly.
