LifeStorage, Chicago self storage provider for home and business, records management and office solutions, is holding a dual-location Garage Sale Event this coming Friday, June 8th through Sunday, June 10th at LifeStorage Algonquin and LifeStorage Carpentersville, from 10am-4pm. The sister stores are joining forces, rain or shine, to provide customers and community members an opportunity to sell their goods, wares, and odds and ends right from LifeStorage storage’s climate-controlled storage units. This is the second year LifeStorage Algonquin has held a garage sale and is LifeStorage Carpentersville’s first event ever. Both stores have been promoting the event through word of mouth, canvassing door-to-door and passing out fliers, utilizing the internet with Patch.com and Craigslist, and even reaching out to the local chamber of commerce. LifeStorage Algonquin Store Managers Jennifer Clark and Joyce Ignoffo and LifeStorage Carpentersville Store Manager Taylor Bray are all excited and ready to have a wonderful weekend event. For Bray, since this is the first event she’s holding at the Carpentersville facility, she’s particularly looking forward to seeing her teams’ hard work come to fruition and to give back to customers and community members alike, while learning the ropes from her peers. “My customers are number one; they keep my business growing. Hosting an event for them is my way of saying thank you for choosing LifeStorage. I think this is going to be great for everyone involved, and I even have a Tastefully Simple consultant, Mary Kay consultant, and Associated Bank manager coming and setting up in my vacant office suites, in addition to the folks selling out of the units,” Bray said. “Having Jennifer and Joyce so close by and helping out with the event has been a boon. I can’t thank them enough.” For LifeStorage Algonquin, since this is its second-annual Garage Sale, they’re happy they can give customers what they want for a second year in a row. “Our customers are very excited and even community members can “borrow” units to set up shop for $10 a day,” Clark said. Ignoffo adds that the dynamic between the two LifeStorage facilities makes this an even bigger and more fun event. “Life Storage of Algonquin and Carpentersville have always had a wonderful team dynamic. We all work together to make sure both of our properties are always thriving. We’ll refer customers back and forth and even cover shifts for one another.
